Our Clinics

Hamilton

Core Physio Ltd’s Head Office is based within Hamilton Academical Football stadium at New Douglas Park, Hamilton.

New Douglas Park is the previous stadium name, it is currently known as the SuperSeal Stadium for sponsorship purposes,[2] is a football stadium in Hamilton which serves as the home of Scottish Premiership side Hamilton Academical. It takes its name from Douglas Park, the club’s former stadium. The stadium was opened at the start of 2001/02 season and is not far from the site of their former Douglas Park ground from which they left in 1994 (the club ground shared in the intervening years). Alas nothing remains of the old ground to be seen, in fact the site is now occupied by a Sainsburys supermarket.

The ground is largely comprised of two fair sized stands at one side and at one end of the ground. Both are covered and all seated. They are unusual, in terms of modern stands, in that they are both raised above pitch level, which means that spectators have to climb a set of stairs, to reach the seated area. These have been supplemented by a small covered temporary stand on the East side of the ground. This area has a capacity of 700 seats. There are also four striking floodlight pylons in each corner of the ground.

GETTING THERE

Leave the M74 at Junction 5, and follow the signs for Hamilton. You will pass the racecourse on your left and a large fire station on your right. At the first set of traffic lights, turn right into Caird Street. Continue along Caird Street, you turn right, just before the traffic lights (and bingo hall) into New Park Street. Left after Morrisons will take you down to small mini roundabout and the stadium in into the left.  Core Physio are based within the main stand.

CORE PHYSIO @ CARLUKE LEISURE CENTRE

As one of our satellite clinics we have the great pleasure of working alongside the great team or rehab facilities within Carluke Leisure Centre.  Once full fitness is regained they have fantastic opportunities to continue with a fitness programme under the supervision of their fitness team.

The gym at Carluke boasts a new full range of Star Trac Cardio equipment which includes treadmills, bikes, X-trainers and rowers. All cardio equipment has integrated Ipod technology and 15 inch HD screens. There are E-spinner bikes with 15 inch screens and built in personal spinning coach within the programmes.

The weights area has numerous resistance machines with three pieces of Star Trac human sport which are dual function cable machines. There is a functional training area which allows more space to carry out exercises with kettle bells, TRX bands and power bags as well as a good selection of free weights ranging from 2kg – 40kg.

Their range of HUR resistance equipment is designed to accommodate the fact that everyone’s body is different. HUR’s more consistent load or resistance profile reduces stress on joints and connective tissues. Start from close to zero load and increase by as little as 100g or 1kg, ideal for those starting exercise or in rehabilitation.

With highly qualified and motivated staff are on hand to help you meet your goals.  They offer a full range of services included in your Perfect Fit.

The gym is available for customers aged 12 years and over.  All under 16s must complete their Perfect Fit (five appointments) at any South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture gym. Twelve and 13 year olds must be accompanied by an adult during times that the gym is unstaffed.
